We landed in Nanjing and left the airport touring right away. We visited several beautiful places. One was the burial site of the founding father of the country. The 392 steps to the top in 35 degree heat with sore calf muscles was fun. Hahahaha
We were asked maybe 15 times by locals to have a picture with us. They really love Johanne. Every 5 minutes someone was asking to take a picture with us. It has been so much fun. The older people look at us with a strange curiosity while the young come up and test their English and get their photos with us.
Our new guides are awesome but we were read the riot act of rules. There was a weird awkward lecture about Stephen Harper greeting the Dali Lama and some strange political speeches. Everyone was polite like Canadians and didn't say anything only to discuss it privately later.
